Letter to our Members and former members
To all former members and current members:
My name is Luis Lozada the new president elect for the Asoc. Puertorriquenos Unidos of Carolina del Norte (APUCN). It is great pleasure to write to all of you and say Hello. It has been a long and transition but we are back and ready to serve you and our communities in the Triangle.
First, I need to thank Ed Sosa and his board for the opportunity that he and the members have given me and the new Board of Directors. We are all excited about APUCN and its future. The new board members consist of all former members I. We have spent the last 4 months the board members and I have been meeting, organizing and deliberating about APUCN future. All of us have come to many agreements and plans for our organization, but the main consensus is that we are “Ready to serve our Members”
Our New Board Members consist of the following Wonderful and Energetic Individuals:
- Gilbert Diaz- Castro – Vocal/ Spokes Person
- Luis Santiago – Treasurer
- Wanda Mendez- Secretary
- Ivan Maldonado- Vice President
- Luis Lozada- President
All of which have been put in place by nomination and election and ready to serve you.
We also have been working on our website and updated the same so please visit us at www.prunidosnc.net. There you will be able to find our upcoming events such as the “Pasadia Familiar Boricua” which will be July 28th 2012 among other events planned for this year.
We will soon be looking for Volunteers for different committees that will assist us in making this event a fabulous one.
